Support Chris Gersch in the 2009 Chicago Marathon

Chris Gersch

Name: Chris Gersch
Current City: Chicago
Past Marathons:
  • Nashville 2008
Time Goal: 3:50
In high school I was involved in a football play that left a running back of my football team "permanently" paralyzed from the neck down. His name was Rob Komosa and after speaking with him and other friends that have had to live with similar injuries I learned the strength people can have and how "permanent" isn't in any of their vocabularies. Like these hopeful, I believe if enough awareness, investment and thought is put into helping spinal cord injury victim recover as is put into the next cell phone model, groups like SCIS can help put an end to "permanence" of spinal cord injuries.
