Inspiration:
When nagging injuries caused me to drop out of last years SCIS marathon training, to say that I was disappointed was an understatement. I have always viewed running as a source of strength and an outlet for my everyday frustrations. As I considered the impact running has on my life, I came back to the reason I was running this race in the first place…for those who can’t. I realized that suffering a spinal cord injury forces one to examine and often times rediscover strength. This year I will use my strength to carry me 26.2 miles hoping to inspire those who have persevered to find a strength of their own.
