Inspiration:

The reason I really wanted to run for SCIS is because my older sister was in a car accident when she was 21 years old. The accident left her a quadrapalegic. It has been 8 years since the accident and it is still a daily struggle for her and my family. Slowly after the accident, we saw friends of hers start to disappear. Spinal cord injuries do suck, it is no lie. I look at my sister and see a very strong person who has been through a struggle and continues to struggle daily. The least I can do is run 26.2 miles while raising money for spinal cord research, so that one day, she and others, may have the opportunity to get some or all feeling back and walk again before their time is up, or so others in the future can. It will happen someday, and what a great day that will be! I am very blessed to be able to do this and I appreciate all donations! Please know it does not go unnoticed!
