Inspiration:
For the first two years that SCIS was in the Chicago Marathon, I witnessed friends and family lace up their running shoes to run for the cause. And that was inspiring. But this year, something different has happened: complete strangers have felt compelled enough by our mission to pound the pavement all summer long. I'm running to cure spinal cord injury, but this year I'm also running to salute these former strangers.
