Support Jen Uczen in the 2011 Chicago Marathon

Jen Uczen

New York, NY

Past Marathons:

First Marathon

Marathon Time Goal:

4:30:00

Reason for SCIS:

I am extremely honored to be running my first marathon as a member of Team SCIS. Geoff is one of my great friends, and I have been lucky enough to support and cheer him on during the Chicago, New York and London Marathons. Geoff is an incredibly inspirational person and his drive, character, and heart alone would make anyone want to fight for this cause. I want to help find a cure for this injury to help my good friend and others who share the same. Even in the early stages of my training, I have developed an understanding for the commitment and sacrifice required to run this marathon which can help me better understand the sacrifice and commitment to a finding a cure that people with spinal cord injuries must face every day of their lives. I am excited for the challenge, and hope that people will support Geoff, myself, and the rest of the SCIS Team.
